Pharmacy licensing

Should you wish to set up or run a pharmacy in Denmark, you must have a license for this purpose. Vacant pharmacy licences are advertised on the Danish version of our website. Please click the Danish flag at the top of the page.  

Applications for available licenses should be sent to the Danish Health and Medicines Authority, which evaluates the applicants and informs the Minister for Health of the most suitable applicants for the pharmacy in question. Our recommendations can be seen on the Danish version of this page.

On the basis of our recommendation, the Minister decides who should receive the license.
